A MAN has been charged after a couple were stabbed in a house.
The 26-year-old woman and 27-year-old man were attacked in the property in Papermill Place, Walthamstow, at around 1am on Sunday (November 18).
The woman was slashed in the thigh and the man was stabbed in the back of the head.
They were taken to hospital but have since been released and are expected to make a full recovery.
It is believed that the pair had just come home from a party and their attacker was waiting for them inside the house.
After the stabbing the suspect ran off and the male victim staggered to Walthamstow Fire Station in Forest Road to get help.
Isaiah Kijjambu, 33, has been charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent and attempted GBH with intent.
He appeared at Thames Magistrates Court on Monday November 19.
Mr Kijjambu, of Frances Street in Woolwich, was remanded in custody.
He is due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court for a plea case management hearing in January 2013.
