A PENSIONER was kicked in the head at a bus stop in an apparently random attack.
The 72-year-old man was waiting at the stop in Leytonstone High Road, near the junction of Kirkdale Road opposite the Crown pub, just after 1am on Sunday (November 18).
He said an unknown man suddenly approached him and attacked him before making off.
The pensioner suffered a cut to the head and was taken to hospital, but has since been released.
The suspect is described as a man with a foreign accent.
A Met spokeswoman said: "Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact Detective Constable Jane Cochrane on 0203 276 0970 or to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
