MORE than £2,000 was raised for a charity that cares for terminally ill people and their families.

St Clare Hospice, which is based in Hastingwood, held the fair on Wednesday at Theydon Bois Village Hall, selling candles, pottery, plants and garden tools and clothes.

Fundraiser Camilla Wood said: “To raise over £2,100 was a fantastic achievement and I must thank everyone involved with the event - the stallholders, those who helped out on the day and most importantly, the many people who came along to support the event.”
