A YOUNG film maker is calling for the public's help to bring the unique story of the Epping-Ongar Railway to the screen.
Media student and railway volunteer Owen Hayward is working on a self-produced documentary about the past, present and future of the line.
The 19-year-old is looking for locals willing to share their facts, anecdotes, photographs and footage from all eras of the railway's history.
"After spending time volunteering there, I felt the line was a very interesting place to be and had an interesting and unique history," said Owen, a student at Havering College in Hornchurch.
"The area I need particular assistance in is the 2004 to 2008 era, where the line was run with a diesel unit in blue, white and red colours, but any help would be greatly welcomed."
The documentary will be uploaded to the Epping-Ongar Railway YouTube channel and may also be released on DVD, with profits going toward ongoing restoration works.
