SUE Nolan, Redbridge council’s cabinet member for Environment and Transportation, has resigned.
Cllr Nolan who represents Snaresbrook ward told the Guardian she has stepped down from cabinet for personal reasons.
She will be replaced by Wanstead councillor and fellow Conservative Alex Wilson.
Cllr Nolan has held five portfolios and switched to Environment and Transportation from Leisure in a May reshuffle.
She said: “I am resigning from cabinet for personal reasons but will remain a councillor.
“First and foremost I have always been and will always be a Snaresbrook councillor.
“I am sad to be leaving cabinet, but I have already offered my congratulations to Alex.
“If he ever needs any advice I will be more than happy to help.”
Cllr Wilson will join fellow Wanstead councillors Michelle Dunn (Housing) and Thomas Chan (Regeneration and Property) in the cabinet.
