TALENTED local artists are brightening up a wet weekend by showcasing more than 150 of their works.
Paintings and ceramics by members of the Epping Art Society will be on display at St John’s Church, in St John’s Road, until Monday.
Chairman Sally Macpherson said: “For every exhibition we take a famous painting and divide it into 24 paintings and reproduce it – this year we have chosen a Lowry painting.
“We also have a little section of paintings that have been produced at our practical evenings.”
The society was founded in 1996 and has about 120 members who meet regularly for art presentations and practical sessions.
The show will run until 4pm today, from 11.30am to 4pm on Sunday and from 9.30am to 4pm on Monday. Entry is free.
