THE SEARCH is on to find a town’s most selfless community hero.
Epping Town Council is inviting nominations for its annual Townsperson of the Year competition, which seeks to recognise residents who have made a significant contribution to community life.
Nominees should have given service to a group or cause for many years or have performed a single act that has benefitted others.
Last year’s winner was Phil Nation, leader of the Ash Pack of the Fourth Epping Cub Scouts, who had volunteered for more than 30 years.
The deadline for nominations is December 21. A form can be downloaded from the town council’s website by clicking here.
Nominations can also be sent to the town clerk, Epping Town Council, Epping Hall, St John’s Road, Epping CM16 5JU.
