THE RIVER Roding remains on flood alert for the fifth day in a row following heavy rain.
The Environment Agency has kept an alert in place for the middle River Roding including Buckhurst Hill, Loughton and Abridge.
The agency said the river had remained high around Abridge during Monday and remained out of its banks in places, affecting drainage ditches and low-lying land and roads.
A further update is expected this morning.
