CHILDREN petted a reindeer and an owl called Percy as Wanstead Church School held a Christmas bazaar.
The animals proved the star attraction on Saturday, but there was plenty of other entertainment including a performance from the school choir who were accompanied by students from Wanstead High School.
Headteacher Mark Hemsley said: “The animals were a huge hit.
“Their handlers told us they were really impressed with how well behaved all the children were around them.
“It really was a great day and everyone at the school now feels that Christmas has well and truly started!”
