PLANS to build a bus depot on the former car park of Walthamstow Stadium are set to be approved or rejected by the Mayor of London next week.
HCT Group's proposals to operate buses overnight at the site in Chingford Road, Walthamstow, were approved by Waltham Forest Council in May despite neighbours' opposition.
Now residents hope Boris Johnson may reject the scheme when he makes his decision on December 5.
Walthamstow Stadium Residents/Community Association chair Gail Penfold said: "Local residents have serious concerns over the noise at all times of the day and night and traffic congestion this scheme will add to the area."
HCT Group claims the site would provide hundreds of jobs.
Mr Johnson controversially approved an application to build a 294-home housing estate on the stadium last month.
