A WOODFORD Green man has scooped £1,500 in a lottery that raises money for a children’s hospice.
Peter Rose, 58, from Mason Avenue won the cash after buying a ticket in the Haven House Lottery.
He said: “I was keen to play, as the money it raises helps to support an amazing cause right here on my doorstep.”
Haven House hospice, which is based in Woodford Green, employs door-to-door lottery canvassers who wear branded clothing and carry photo ID to sell the tickets.
