For many of us, the local football team we support is West Ham. After their dramatic promotion into the Premier League from the Championship, West Ham has had a solid start to life in the top of the football world. Since the first Matchday, they have remained in the top half of the league table (top 10) and have recorded some impressive results, including a goalless draw against the current Premier League champions (Manchester City) and an away win against a good quality Newcastle, who are managed by former West Ham manager Alan Pardew.
To go with this, the Irons have also managed to acquire one of England’s top strikers, Andy Carroll. Although he cost Liverpool a whopping £35 million pounds, his height, hair and happiness has provided West Ham a great deal of success as they managed to get him on loan, for free. However tough times lie ahead of the Hammers, with successive games against Chelsea, Liverpool, West Brom, Everton and Arsenal on the way. Along with their renowned fan base, this should be a big test for the East London club.
