The Quileutes, Cullens and the first appearance of the Half-Human, Half Vampire braced the screens on November 16th as Breaking Dawn Part 2 was released. The eagerly anticipated final installment of the franchise took $141.3million over its opening weekend in America and $199.6million more overseas.

The Twilight series was an open infatuation for teenage girls in particular, since 2005 when Twilight (the book) was released. It encapsulated every desire from the untouchable perfection of Edward Cullen to the complicated relationship between werewolf Jacob Black and reckless protagonist Bella Swan but the love for the series has spread limitlessly since the film versions have been released, across every corner of the globe.

I interviewed fans of the films from Seven Kings High School, Aniesha Nessa and Mariam Akhtar who have recently seen Breaking Dawn Part 2 to ask them what their initial reactions and thoughts were.

(Me): So Aniesha, what was it that truly intrigued you about Breaking Dawn Part 2, that made you think ''I have got to watch that?''      (A): ''I think it had to be the action side of it shown especially during the trailer and the suspense it created as we always want to know whether the Cullens will ever be able to be free of the vulture-like volturi.''

(Me): What do you make of the 'twi-hard' fans and their unstoppable excitement that built up to the final installment of the film... Would you count yourself as a loyal follower of the vampire saga?      (A): Before this movie I definitely wouldn't have called myself a loyal follower but after watching this one i felt like everything fell into it's place and i felt like all the characters came alive in this one, so I can understand their passion for it and feel somewhat... converted? (laughs)

(Me): Mariam, Would you say Breaking Dawn Part 2 lived up to your expectations and others?        (M): ''I genuinely fell in love with the books and the characters and I loved it since the start, so yes it did. Compared to Part 1, it definitely was better- Part 1 didn't live up to anyone's expectations.''

(Me): What was it about the film that shocked you the most or had you gripping the edge of your seat?        (M): ''Oh that's easy! The huge twist at the end, no one could believe their eyes- We almost clapped at the end though!''

(Me): Lastly, Mariam... I have figured out that you are a true fan therefore I must ask this. How much would you pay to see the sequel to Breaking Dawn Part 2, if there was one?        (M): ''A ridiculous amount, anything!''

It is clear that there is something in the air, that same vampire-ish fever, the same one that seems to strike each time a twilight film is released, but one thing is for sure- Hate it, or love it... the saga will surely live on.
