THE future of a Wanstead hairdresser is in doubt after its landlords applied to change the usage of the premises to allow them to serve food and drink.
Threadneedle Pensions Ltd owns the High Street premises currently leased to Enigma Hairdressing in Wanstead.
But the company has applied for a change of use and in planning documents submitted to Redbridge council, agents Indigo Planning Ltd, say: “Our client has received interest in this unit from a coffee shop operator.”
The management of Enigma Hairdressing declined to comment.
