A WOMAN fought off a man who attacked her as she walked home from a station.
A man grabbed the 22-year-old by the mouth from behind as she walked along Station Road, Loughton, at about 9pm on Tuesday.
She tried to scream, but the man put his other arm around her and held her tightly, telling her to stop screaming.
The woman then kicked the man and bit his finger and he ran off towards the High Road.
The woman, who was shaken but suffered only a minor injury, ran home.
Detective constable Muhammad Asghar said: “The motive for this assault is unclear.
“The woman put up a struggle and kicked, bit and scratched the suspect, so he may have visible injuries.”
Witnesses should call Det Con Asghar at Loughton police station on 101.
