MEASURES to protect vulnerable children in Redbridge should be adopted by other councils, the government has said.
Watchdog Ofsted recently gave the council the first good rating in the country for child protection services under new criteria.
And in a letter to council leader Keith Prince, parliamentary under secretary of state for children and families, Edward Thompson MP, congratulated the authority and said it should share its processes with other councils.
Cllr Alan Weinberg, cabinet member for children’s services said: "Our Children’s Services staff work extremely hard to protect and keep our children and young people safe on a daily basis and I’m delighted that their hard work is being recognised."
