A MAN has been arrested after a policeman was attacked by two dogs.
The 40-year-old off-duty officer helped a railway worker to challenge a man suspected of fare evasion on the platform of Chingford railway station last Wednesday evening.
But the pair were attacked by the man’s two pit bull-type dogs, forcing the off-duty officer to call for back up.
Police then arrested the man, who had walked off in the direction of Forest Approach.
The dogs were seized and taken to a pound.
A 35-year-old was arrested on suspicion of offences relating to dangerous dogs
He has been bailed until January.
Both men were uninjured.
