CHRISTMAS came early for hardworking carers as they were presented with 24 bumper hampers.
Members of Epping Forest Rotary Club donated the gifts to the Crossroads Care charity, based in Epping's United Reformed Church in Lindsey Street.
The hampers are stuffed with festive treats including Christmas puddings, chocolates, soups, bottle of wine, biscuits and crackers.
Crossroads has been running in the district for 26 years and currently offers support and respite to 475 carers in Epping, Redbridge and Harlow.
Marion Clarke, manager of Crossroads Care Epping, said: "I know these hampers will mean such a lot to our carers, many of whom are unable to leave the house except when Crossroads care support workers step into their shoes.
"Thank you so much on behalf of the 24 families who will be receiving these presents."
