A man who went missing from his home a month ago has been found dead, police have confirmed.

Earlier the Missing People charity announced that 24-year-old Marco Moniz, of Valognes Avenue in Walthamstow, had been located, but it did not say in what circumstances.

Now a Met spokesman has revealed his body was found at an address in Edith Road, Hammersmith, on Friday.

He said: "Next of kin have been informed.

"The death is being treated as non-suspicious."

Mr Moniz was last seen at Kings Cross Station at around 1pm on Tuesday February 5.

He was reported missing two days later.

Mr Moniz was originally from Portugal and had been living in the UK for about four years.

Police launched an appeal for help in finding him last week.
