People are invited to celebrate World Fair Trade Day by buying breakfasts at a church.
St Andrew’s Church in Colworth Road, Leytonstone, is set to hold the fair trade event to mark the annual day on Saturday, and will open the doors to their Cafe Refresh between 11am and 1pm.
There they will serve fair trade cakes, biscuits, bananas and chocolate as well as teas and coffees and juice.
Various stalls will also be selling other fair trade goods, and people will be invited to sign a petition calling on Prime Minister David Cameron to champion a better deal for small farmers at the G8 Summit in June.
