Superheroes filled a Wanstead pub to raise money for charity.
Spandex-clad staff and customers at the Cuckfield in High Street dressed up as their favourite heroes and villains to raise money for the National Brain Appeal.
The charity is close to barman John Sullivan’s heart as his dad had to have brain surgery at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
John ran the Marathon to raise money for the charity and the pub raised an additional £1700 with its superhero night and a special quiz.
Lizi Arnold, assistant manager at the Cuckfield said: “We are very proud to have helped John with his fundraising.
“Our own team of Superheroes have been a massive support to John and without them it wouldn't have been the successful evening that it was.”
