Hundreds of young footballers took part in a tournament organised by a ten-year-old boy, last week.
Archie Williams from Loughton has been fundraising for the last few months to try to hit a target of £4,500 needed to pay for a family home to be built in Romania.
The charity minded youngster set his sights on going along to the country to help build a house, although after quickly raising all of the money needed to pay for a flight, he set his sights higher.
An impressive £1,000 was raised at the tournament which was held at Chigwell Police Club on Saturday, April 27.
Twenty teams competed before team Senrab won a penalty shoot-out to be crowned overall winners.
Parents, officials and team managers enjoyed the family fun day which also included cake sales and a bouncy castle.
Archie will travel to Romania with charity resource company Grassroots in September, where he will help to build the house which he has paid for.
