A dyslexia centre hosted a meeting for teachers working with children with special needs.
More than 20 local schools were represented at the meeting at the Sheila Ferrari Dyslexia Centre which is attached to Avon House School in Woodford Green.
Teachers discussed training and support and were addressed by guest of honour Sheila Ferrari who founded the centre 30 years ago.
Another meeting to exchange ideas has been arranged for May 22.
The school will also run a series of Saturday morning training events starting in July entitled ‘The Dyslexia Friendly Classroom’.
