A new service for young people with eating disorders hopes to provide them with expert help.
London charity Beat has launched a scheme to help those aged between 16 and 25 in Waltham Forest and other boroughs with eating disorders to get advice from someone who has suffered from similar problems.
The Transitions Project was created to support young people at times of change, such as starting or leaving university and leaving treatment for their issue.
The ‘recovery buddies’, who have also suffered eating disorders, can provide help and guidance through live online chats and email exchanges.
To learn how to access this service please contact transitions@b-eat.co.uk or call Sarah Ajayi on 01603 753 310.
