A veterinary nurse and her family dressed as characters from the Wizard of Oz before wading through a muddy river bed for charity.
Lisa Cooper, who works at the Wanstead Veterinary Hospital in New Wanstead, dressed as Glinda the Good Witch to compete in the Maldon Mud Race on Saturday.
She was joined by her husband Rob, brother Dave, sister Susan and family friends Mike and Matt who all competed as Team Oz.
The team joined dozens of other competitors at Promenade Park in Maldon, Essex, in the charity race which sees competitors running 400 metres through water and mud.
They raised £300 for local charities including Brainwave which helps children with cerebral palsy, autism and developmental delay.
Speaking after the event, a muddy Lisa said: “It was harder than I expected and I had to resort to crawling on my hands and knees for most of the course!
“It was a great experience though and I’ve received fantastic support from friends and colleagues.
"I’m really pleased to have raised so much money for local charities.”
