East London is one of the luckiest areas in the country, according to the National Lottery.
Based on the number of top prize wins to date, the E postcode is in the top 15 in the country as are EC and SE which altogether have seen 790 winners of at least £50,000 since the National Lottery was launched in 1994.
The E and EC denominations consistently rank best in London for high tier winners but it is nearby Romford (RM) that tops the bill as the UK’s luckiest – sitting top of the pile for the most National Lottery big prize winners per head.
On the other side of Waltham Forest, residents with the Enfield (EN) postcode sit fifth on the list.
The National Lottery has made 20 millionaires in the SE postcode in the past five years.
