It might not be the most ideal place to pull up a chair but Ongar Town Cemetery now boasts one giant sitting space.
A Giant Redwood tree, close to the chapel, had to be cut down earlier in the year after being struck by lightning and becoming diseased.
Rather than rid the town of the landmark which has stood in the graveyard for decades, tree surgeons Kevin Spencer and Rod Hunt decided to give it a new lease of life.
The duo lovingly carved the remains of the Redwood into what is said to be a surprisingly comfortable chair for visitors to enjoy.
