A teenager who encouraged others on a volunteering project is among those who have been given awards.
Joe Tinsley, 15, who attends St John’s School in Epping, was given a Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Award during a ceremony in Chelmsford yesterday.
He received a cheque for £200, some of which will go towards the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme based at Epping Forest College in Loughton.
Also recognised for their contributions to the community were Annalise Armitage, Jaymey McIvor, Natasha Miller, Carina Sander, Catherine Barry and Diane Butler.
