A charity is offering adults the chance to gain teaching experience at a safety event, later this year.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is looking for volunteers to help to educate children on water safety in a series of workshops, over ten days.
People who are interested do not need to have any experience as it will be provided by the RNLI before the workshops, but will need to commit to at least one full day.
The charity is taking a proactive approach to teaching children about how to stay safe when they hit the water, especially around beaches and rivers.
Organisers are running the sessions to reduce the number of water-related incidents involving children and to inspire the next generation of life-savers.
Water safety sessions will be taught to groups of Year 6 students at the Junior Citizen event in Gilwell Park between June 10 and 21.
Anyone who would like to lend a hand should contact 07500608318 or email Elizabeth_Renshaw@rnli.org.uk.
