A mum-of-three who impressed judges with her operatic performance on TV show The Voice was knocked out of the competition over the weekend.
Barbara Kelly from Epping was put through the first round of the BBC programme after one note last month, but yesterday, the 55-year-old was knocked out after performing Mariah Carey’s Hero with singing partner Carla Manley from Northern Ireland.
The pair were pitched against power pop singer Leanne Jarvis, who judge Will.i.am picked to go through to the next round.
Mrs Kelly, a former technology teacher at St John’s School in Epping, started singing professionally at 38 and met Carla on a three month tour of the US.
