Church bells chimed less tunefully than usual as visitors had a go at ringing them during a festival.
The Fyfield Festival at St Nicholas Church in Willingale Road raised more than £2,000 towards the upkeep of the building, including new roofing for the spire.
As well as bell ringing, the festival included donkey rides, flower and fruit arranging, a dog show, organ recital and a children’s concert.
Priest in charge, the Rev. Vernon Ross, said: “I’m very pleased and very grateful to all those who work so hard to make it a brilliant day.
“Both members of the congregation and villagers helped and they very much see it as their church.
“It’s the third year we’ve had the festival and it’s gaining momentum.”
