Three people were injured in a crash this lunchtime.
It happened on the A406 North Circular, close to Charlie Brown's Roundabout and the M11 slip road by South Woodford, at around 1.20pm.
Three cars were involved in the smash.
A 34-year-old man suffered a back injury and was rushed to Whipps Cross Hospital as a priority.
Two other people in another car were also treated at the scene and taken to hospital, a spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said.
One of them was a 53-year-old woman who had minor injuries. Details of the other person have not yet been released.
The westbound carriageway of the road, where the crash happened, was closed following the collision, causing long delays in the area.
The road has now been cleared and the jams are reported to be easing this afternoon.
