A man arrested by armed police in Wanstead High Street last week will appear at the Old Bailey in August for a plea and case management hearing.
Wayne Colligan, 42, of Chafford Hundred in Essex, has been charged with attempted robbery and possession of a firearm.
He was arrested shortly after 9am last Wednesday in an operation where Flying Squad officers fired breaching rounds to disable a van he was driving.
He appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court last week and will next be in court at the Old Bailey on August 15.
