A head injury suffered by a 14-year-old boy taken to hospital after a road accident is not life threatening, police have confirmed.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the crash in Forest Road, Walthamstow, after the incident at about 3.40pm yesterday.

They treated the teenager at around 3.40pm and an ambulance took him to the Royal London Hospital as a priority.

But the injury is not life threatening or life changing, the Met has confirmed.

The accident left Forest Road blocked in both directions yesterday evening, causing traffic delays.

No arrests have been made.
