A litter pick is being organised to clean up a town following a successful event last year.

Ongar Town Council is organising the event for May 25 from 9.30am, starting at Ongar Leisure Centre in The Gables.

Following the litter pick in October last year, the latest event will concentrate on alleyways and roads near Shelley Park.

Town clerk Aimi Middlehurst said: “It would be great if everyone could join us to improve the local environment for the benefit of all residents and to provide a good example to our children that litter is unacceptable.”
