A new online service has been launched for people who are thinking about adult social care for themselves or a loved one.
Hosted on Essex County Council’s website the new online referral tool will give the county’s residents quick access to information, advice and available support.
The open-all-hours service allows people to see the facts about generic services and refer themselves or someone who they are concerned about for help.
Essex County Councillor John Aldridge, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, said: “Providing an online resource means that many more of our residents will have the freedom to access the social services available to them at a time and place of their own choosing.”
Guidance is also available for carers.
The online referral can be accessed from the ‘Get Help from Adult Social Care’ pages on the ECC website or via http://goo.gl/rWkaz.
