Betting chain Paddy Power has applied to open a new branch in a busy main road.
The bid, for a new betting shop at 269 Ilford Lane, Ilford, will be decided by a Redbridge Council licensing committee on May 30.
Police have not objected but concerns have been raised by residents and the council's licensing team over the proposed branch's possible impact on anti-social behaviour in the area.
