Shoppers will be paying shillings for old fashioned cuisine as a popular high street store celebrates its 125th anniversary.
This Saturday Church’s Butchers, Epping High Street, will take customers back to the era in which it first opened as they wear traditional Victorian dress and serve up a hog roast.
The family event will allow customers to celebrate with the staff and see how the oldest independent retailer on the town’s high street has changed through the ages.
Sausages will be served at 20 shillings each, the equivalent of one pound today, and anyone spending over £10 will receive a free packet of Old Epping sausages.
