Scores of families attended a Mad Hatter’s tea party, chased their way around a treasure trail and tried their hands at arts and crafts, this weekend.
Buckhurst Hill Baptist Church’s May Madness event, on Saturday, saw around 150 people playing games and getting creative.
Community outreach co-ordinator, Lesley Wilson, said that the event which has been held annually for four years was a success.
She said: “It was really, really good.
“We centred it around the story of Alice in Wonderland, and families took part in a treasure trail around various parts of Buckhurst Hill, looking for characters from the story.
“We had activities and games and a Mad Hatter’s tea party.
“It’s an afternoon of fun for families to enjoy themselves together.”
