A poetry session for older people will be held next month.
The Redbridge Rhymesters will meet at the Alan Burgess Centre in High Street, Wanstead, on June 11 at 11am.
The group meets every few months to share poems and chat.
Local poet Alexandra Wilde has been running the sessions for three years and produces a pamphlet of poetry by group members ahead of every meeting.
She said: "The ladies and gentlemen are lovely to work with, they are very imaginative and creative.
“Since we first started, the pamphlet has doubled in size, and is a nice reminder of what everyone has achieved."
The June session will take the title ‘Summer Days” as its theme and anyone is welcome to come along with a poem of their own or a favourite for Alexandra to perform.
