A pensioner is due in court today charged with three counts of indecent assault.
Ibrahim Doldur, 70, of Hampton Road in Chingford, will appear at Thames Magistrates Court later today after three women told police they had been sexually assaulted in parks between December last year and February this year.
A 50-year-old woman claimed she was assaulted in Chase Lane Park, York Road, Chingford, on December 28.
A 17-year-old girl said an elderly man had assaulted her on February 1 in Memorial Park, Chingford Mount Road.
Police responded to a call on February 7 from a 41-year-old woman in Chase Lane Park, who was walking her dog when a man approached her before sexually assaulting her.
The woman called her boyfriend, who rushed to the park and managed to catch the assailant, holding him until police arrived.
Doldur can enter a plea today and either be dealt with by magistrates or given a court date for a jury trial.
