The Chingford branch of the Royal British Legion has announced the agenda for their Armed Forces Day event.
The family fun day on Chingford Green will begin with a parade beginning at Chingford Plains, with 200-300 people already set to take part.
Highlights include an inspection of the parade by guest VIPs, an inter cadet forces tug o’war contest, a field gun run and choral performances in S.S. Peter & Paul’s Church.
There will be a gala concert in Chingford Assembly Hall at 7pm.
Hosted by the Borough of Waltham Forest and the Royal British Legion the day starts at 11am.
Tickets for the evening concert and show are £10.
Armed Forces Day is June 29 when awareness can be raised of the contribution made to the country by those who serve and the day gives the nation a chance to show support for the men and women who make up the armed forces community.
