Taster sessions in beach volleyball are being held for children and adults this weekend at a park.

They are at Loxford Park in Loxford Lane, Ilford, between 12pm to 2pm on Saturday and from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday.

It comes after three beach volleyball courts were installed in the park last year thanks to funding from Volleyball England and Sport England.

It is open to everyone aged eight-years-old and over.

A council spokesman said: "During the taster sessions, coaches will be on hand to give you direction and help you make the most of this free activity".

No booking is required and those who want to take part are advised to wear comfortable sports clothing, while shoes or socks are not allowed to be worn on the sand.
