Bar room brawls and gun fights were on display to an audience of young cowboys and girls yesterday.
The group Martell’s Raiders and the Golden Eagle Ghost Riders staged the Wild West Show at the Gunpowder Mills in Beaulieu Drive, Waltham Abbey.
General manager Lance Bourne said: “They did fast-draw gun fights and demonstrations of how to use lassoes and a bull whip, like in Raiders of the Lost Ark, which was good fun.
"The kids also took part in mock pony races using space hoppers instead of horses, which was hilarious.
“It was all a bit of tongue-in-cheek fun for the kids.
“I was quite impressed that a lot of the children were in fancy dress as cowboys or American Indians.”
