A new exhibition chronicling the achievements of a nationwide campaign group opens next month at a museum.
'Saving a Century' at Redbridge Central Library and Museum in Ilford celebrates some of the Victorian Society’s most hard-fought battles to preserve historic buildings.
Director of the Victorian Society Chris Costelloe said: "Saving a Century tells the extraordinary story of the battles that have shaped our towns and cities.
"Without these campaigns, many of our most famous places would look very different today."
The exhibit will use photographs and other archive material from throughout the group's 50-year existence.
It runs from June 1 to June 28 daily and is free.
