Traditional games and shows were laid on at a fundraising fete yesterday.
The event at The Green in Chigwell, which was organised by the Chigwell and Roding Rotary clubs, included Tai Chi and a Pimms tent as well as activities like splat-the-rat, a coconut shy and a dog show.
Barry Scrutton, who helps organise the annual event, said: “There was sunshine and plenty of people. We served 300 cups of tea.
“I think all the stall holders were happy and would come back and we had record business for the bouncy castle.”
Money raised by the event will go towards causes supported by the Rotary clubs.
