The Appetite food, drink and art festival, launching this Saturday, is set to offer up plenty of unique culinary experiences, including the opportunity to eat cake for charity.
The Eat or Heat food bank is hosting a fundraiser as part of Appetite on June 30, from 1pm-5pm at Quakers Meeting House, Jewel Road Walthamstow, all proceeds from which will go to feeding people in need in Waltham Forest.
The Cake & Art fete will feature cakes made by local residents and artworks donated by local artists for sale and auction, as well as face painting, massage, vintage music and more.
Eat or Heat is a non-profit, volunteer run food bank, working towards full charity status by July, which currently feeds around 30 individuals and families who have been referred by a professional body and are at risk of having to choose between food and fuel.
