Police have issued a further appeal for witnesses who stopped to help the victims of a fatal accident.
The collision which killed a 70-year-old man happened on the A414, Epping Road, just before 5pm on Thursday, May 23.
Officers are now looking to speak to an off-duty nurse, dressed in black, who assisted at the scene.
They are also trying to locate a black man, thought to be in his 30s who was driving a two seater, Mazda style, black sports car.
The man, who is a possible witness, is believed to have driven off in the direction of Chelmsford.
A male passenger in the silver Honda Jazz died and the 73-year-old driver was flown to hospital by air ambulance.
The driver of the red Vauxhall Vivaro van which collided with the Honda suffered broken bones in the accident, close to the Vojan restaurant, Ongar.
Pc James Lee, of the Boreham Serious Collision Unit, said: "We would like to speak to both of these people to establish what they may have seen.”
