A rising star who wowed some of the biggest names in chart music has made it through to the next stage of a popular TV singing show.
Thirty-two-year-old Moni Tivony from Ongar battled it out against quirky Emily Worton on BBC’s The Voice, this weekend, to win his place on Will.i.am’s team.
The former Lionel Richie tribute act from Moreton Road must now fight to hold onto his spot in the Knockout Rounds, this weekend.
Mr Tivony’s mentor, Black Eyed Peas star and music producer Will.i.am, will have to choose which three of his seven acts should go through to the live stages.
During the next round each contestant will perform a ‘killer song’ in front of the judges.
So far Mr Tivony has impressed judges with his unique version of Bob Marley’s ‘No Woman, No Cry’ and Of Monsters and Men’s ‘Little Talks’.
