The group who took part in Race for Life
A group of friends and neighbours from Chigwell more than doubled their fundraising target when they took part in a run in aid of a cancer charity.
The group, which also included mothers and daughters, completed the Race for Life at Regent’s Park on Saturday, raising £1,000 between them for Cancer Research UK.
Runner Sonia Patel, 26, of Mount Pleasant Road, Chigwell, said: “It was a great day and we raised over £1,000, with more donations coming in.
“The younger girls managed to run it in 30 minutes, while the mums managed to walk it in 45 minutes.”
